Mount Trainer

I have been made aware that there is some confusion in the field regarding a mat that looks like a springboard (mount trainer).

Prior to the 2005-06 season, it was allowed at only the compulsory levels. Last year (2006-07) it was added to the R & P on page 78,

top #5. b.” At Levels 7-10, a manufactured mount mat (mount trainer) may be used for mounting purposes.”

This year it is still in the R & P (same page & #), but no longer in bold font, as it is not new.

Please make sure that the Meet Directors and Meet Referees know that this is an allowed piece of equipment at both compulsory and optional JO Levels.

Thanks,

Connie Maloney

Dear Region V Professional Members,

Thank you for your support as your new Regional Chairman (RACC). I am really excited about this responsibility and look forward to working with all of you.

I have inherited a wonderful Regional Committee and added a few new members. Kittia Carpenter will be assisting John Geddert with ALL of his responsibilities, Nina Dent is the new Ohio State Chairman, Augusta Lipsey our Regional Secretary, and Hiliary Carlson has joined us as the Regional Judging Director.

As with all businesses and administrative positions, communication is a key component to success. The Regional web page will provide you with immediate “up-to-date” information, and I will be sending out emails and newsletters throughout the year.

Please take time to read the three attachments (Regional Committee Meeting Minutes, Regional Committee Members, and Regional Congress Banquet). In addition, Regional Training Camp information for coaches and judges has previously been posted on the Regional web page. The Judges Professional Involvement Form will be available on the Regional and State web pages as of the middle of July with a due date of September 1, 2007.

Please let me know of any questions and / or concerns as it is important that I hear from you. My email and telephone numbers are listed on the second attachment.

Thank you again . . . . . GO REGION V

Respectfully,
Bobbi Montanari, RACC
